Very Nice

How much were they ? Are you happy with the fit ? Just curious cause I bought an after market headlamp for my 98 and ( Im VERY fussy ) although it fit ok , it wasnt quite the same as the factory one . BUT the Toy dealer wanted $ 299.00 for it and the Ebay price ( new) was 89 bucks :D

$130 plus $30 shipping ebay... They fit very well. All the connections were exact. Very nice.

I'd like to do this MOD but I have one question. If the LED Tail light go out for some reason; how do u replace a bulb/s? I haven't seen the actuall product so I don't know.

I don't believe there's any way you can replace a single LED, but you shouldn't have to worry about that because they shouldn't go out. The LED tails are very high quality and LED's last a very long time.

I just put these same tails on my rig, and my ABS check light on the dash came on. Did this happen to you?

I did the install the same way you did - plug 'n play, no splicing required. I've found a couple threads now (thanks Fo_SheeZy) and can't pinpoint why this happens on some years, and not others.

Thanks.

I did the same Tails on my 97, and did a LED third as well

I didn't have any problems with my ABS light coming on!

I went with the Black ones, but then Smoked them to match the third>

In need of some tail lights

Hi guys,

Unfortunately, from a hit and run a few months back, my driver side tail light is out and I just got pulled over for it. It sucks, but lets move past it.

I have been considering the mod to LED tail lights, and I suppose this is an appropriate time to follow through with it. I have scoured ebay a bit for them, and of course a lot of options come up.

My question though is, any suggestions as far as sellers go on ebay? the one that i see to be most promising is "racer innovation". Would you guys suggest it?

This is a link to the ones I found:

01-02 Toyota 4Runner 2WD/4WD SR5 LED Tail Lights Lamps - eBay (item 220744511523 end time Feb-28-11 22:29:27 PST)

Any suggestions will help me out, and thank you in advanced.

Hi Shonuup,

Why the "56k beware" - I am not sure I understand.

Also, can you post a link to the ebay seller where you bought them?

Thanks

56k... lol... who has that anymore? At least this thread is 3 years old... it would be weird to post it now.

BTW, brian, I'm sure you remember the days of dialup internet, those with a 56k modem would have time to cook a 3 course meal with the time this took to load... lol! Well if you're a fast cook...

Also, since this is as old as it is, I will provide you with a current link to the ones I have, which are identical. I purchased them 2 years ago and I couldn't be happier! Two brands are available, DEPO and Eagle Eyes. I do know from my own experience that the Eagle eyes brand fit and work beautifully, and that sabersport has fantastic customer service in case.

I made a video on installation however long ago, I know it's not the best video and I was using a POS digital camera, but it's a good help if you don't know how.

Hope to see them on your truck :D

Thanks for the info. I am not buying these now because it is just to much money for an upgrade.

BTW, even in 2008 it was pretty ridiculous to post 56K beware. LOL in 1998 that would have been acceptable. I guess I have been spoiled because I live in the city.
