Installed Marlin Crawler trans, seems notchy

Hi guys, my old trans was slipping, original clutch of 275K on my 874R. Had it since new. Got a new MC and slave installed about a month ago.

Figured that it was time to rebuild trans as well, so I ordered a rebuilt W56-B from MC. Came quick, also got the 1600lb PP and clutch. Came with everything needed for the most part, only issue was that the pilot bearing they sent was the wrong size, about a MM or 2 too large (ID) (had to buy new one local) and I bought a new main rear engine seal.

Got it all installed, and WOW, just like back in the day. The shifter is tight and the solid, clutch has more feedback, etc. Clutch definitely is grabbing and then some. I think my 22RE is probably *****ing now that it actually has to work. Only issue, is that it seems notchy as if the synchro's are old or something. First time I drove it, I couldn't find 3rd and went into 5th, but I attribute that to me being used to the looseness of the older trans vs. the tightness of this trans. Its just really notchy, like it needs to be broke in.

Any ideas or am I being a little girl?

Tight isn't bad as long as there isn't any grinding or popping out of gear associated with it. It will loosen up some around 100 miles, after 500 it will be in the sweet spot.
