I installed my 8mm billet wheel spacers today and everything clears much better. I only got about 7 turns on the lugs. I got 11 turns on the stock set up with no spacer. I think it should be fine, I torqued them. I am still thinking about longer wheel studs. Maybe a 1/4 or 1/2". Anyone have a part number. I think the ARP studs are too long.

Was it hard for them to get it aligned? I have the same lift and need to get an alignment done

2005 and up Tacomas owners have been using 2002-03 Matrix, PN # 610-463 which are a half inch longer wheel stud. Stock 2005 Tacomas use the same wheel studs as Stock 2005 4Runnners as I can tell.

I special ordered 12 - 2002-03 Matrix, PN # 610-463 wheel studs for the front. I am going to swap the stock ones out and be done with this fitment issue. I just have to move the front fender liners in more and I will not be rubbing anywhere with the 8mm billet spacers. I really didn't have to trim anything either probably b/c these are all terrains. If the were the same size mud terrains there would be more trimming involved.

OK. So I replaced the stock wheel studs with 2002-03 Matrix, PN #610-463 wheel studs today. It took me about 2 hours to do both fronts. Everything went in easy and worked perfect. Thanks to the guy who did the write up on the Tacoma site. I feel soooo much safer now. I got probably 20 turns on each lug now? I recommend this swap if you are not getting enough turns on your lugs. Cost me $43 for the wheel studs b/c they had to order them.

Thanks. Me too. Best looking wheels in my opinion.
I got my TRD Pro rims put on today. I love them. I rub on the fender liner now but I can fix that.

How high did you adjust your front coils? i tried to adjust them .5 like the manuel said to achieve 3in in the front but it seem low. or atleast lower than yours?

Ha. You have good taste. I didn't get the adjustable coils. They came at this height. I did get the heavy springs in the rear though.

have 285/70/17 trail grapplers as well on 17x9 addicts. they rub a lot and i kinda broke the tab i had for the fender liners when mudding. :shocked:
