Installed new bumper. Question on corners.

What do you guys do to these corners ? I tried to losen the bolts with a wrench but it was about to strip out. Because it feels like it's rusted on the inside and the factory paint on the outside doesn't help. Do you juts cut it or leave it ?

I noticed it after I bolted the bumper lol. If I have to take bumper of... Just to losen the bolts with impact. I'll do it. But want your input first.



Love the new savage bumper. But I wish it didn't stick out so much. And wish it had somewhere to mount the license plates.

i just cut mine off. then trimmed the plastic down with a razor.

I cut mine off with the angle grinder & the plastic with a Dremel. Then hit with paint.
Wear goggles.

Nope, Shrockworks instructions tell you to cut it off before install.

Yea, I see that's its Savage. Shrocksworks had instructions with pics. Drivers side came right off, passenger side just spun so I cut it off.

When I installed my bumper I removed them. There are about 3 bolts a side if I remember. They were very hard to see on the passenger side if I remember correctly. I didn't really know the last bolt was there. I kept pulling and repositioning but it would not let go. Then I just feeling around till I found the last one. After that it wasn't too bad. As far as the plastic in the wheel well, I just used some tin snips to cut out what I wanted.

Unbolted the metal parts are trimmed the plastic liner and tucked it up to keep it from flapping around. Secured it with zip ties also.
