Installed new Michelin LTX

I got tired of the Dunlop AT20 tires. They were very smooth, but they were god awful in the rain.
I put on 265/70/17.This thing is like a tomb it is so quite. I was deciding between the Cross terrains or Pilot LTX. I have always had good luck with the LTX/M&s so thats what I went with. If anybody is looking at new tires, these are it. They will last forever.

Upsizing

Can you comment on any effects of going up in size? Ride? Performance loss? Speed differential? Fit?

I put on 265/70/17.

What are you using for a spare? Does a 265/70-17 fit in the space for the spare?

In regards to the difference in tires: The feel is so much more solid, the handling just seems more sure footed. I believe the Dunlop tires had a very soft sidewall. My sppedo shows about 1 mph slower than what i am actually going. The truck looks so much better with more neat between the wheel opening.

In regards to the spare. I didnt change the spare. I have never had a flat tire in my whole life, and when I do, I will just drive it to wherever I need to till the other tire is repaired.

Sweet. So are you running the LTX's or the Pilot LTX's? I had the original Dunlops, then put on 265/70/17 Revo's, and now I am awaiting the 18's to arrive to mount the 275/65/18 Pilot LTX's. I found the Pilot's at tirerack for 87 bucks each, Duh! I hope you got the Pilot's, I want a tomb too!!!

Wow, Thats a good price for Pilots LtX's. I am running LTX M&S.

Toyo - Could you please state the exact tire designation, where did you bought them, & wot did they cost? I think it is the same tire I have used on several SUVs with very good luck.

I'm lookin' to drop my A20s; I can tell by how much I have had them in the mud, that they would not get me out of any deep stuff.

They are 265/70/17 Michelin LTX M/S. The treadwear is 500. I paid a liitle over $700.00 for all four tires mounted, balanced on high speed, then balanced on the car.
