Installed the HID Conversion this Saturday

Ordered the Volt kit (w/o harness) from Xenon Depot and it arrived earlier in the week. I had the chance to install it this Saturday. Install was easy and straight forward.

On the harness, the polarity of the plug that goes into the factory headlight plug is reversed so you'll have to reverse the pins.

Cutoff is great, (I have a 2008 with projectors) and the lighting is definitely improved. (I got 4300k). I'll post pictures in a bit.

On the driver's side, I installed the ballast behind the battery.

I think someone who put on their HID kit with reverse polarity ended up frying his computer........not sure what the name was. but check it out. either way lets see pics!!!

Most if not all of us who have HID have to swap the plug backwards.

Yep, that was me. Turned out that reversing the polarity didn't fry it, me inadvertently putting in a 30amp fuse into a 10amp slot was the culprit.

I installed this kit without reversing anything, am I going to mess something up? If this was the case it would be more of the manufacturers fault as why would I have to mess with a kit designed for my make and model.

OP: how about a night shot of the foreground from inside of the car and a wall shot of the cutoff. Ive been debating on getting a h11 hid kit or doing a tsx retro.

The only 4300k i will buy is the philip rebase kit as its the true 4300k. Aftermarket ones are either too blue or a greenish color.

I don't understand this either. If the kit is sold for this car, why does the polarity need to be reversed?
