Thanks, Toytec for the great "Black Friday" deal on my OME 883/891 lift with diff drop. Install went smoothly. In fact, FJatheart and I installed two today.

Yes, it is definitely stiffer than the stock suspension. I don't mind it at all though. I did use OME shocks. I plan to add some weight eventually with aftermarket skids, bumpers and winch. Along with the sliders I installed today. That's why I went with the heavy springs.

Looks good. My front has actually softened up a little. I do have the ARB up there but it is riding pretty good now. Just the back is too stiff for me. Can't wait to test if offroad!

Thanks! If you don't have any extra weight in the rear (i.e. aftermarket bumper, etc) don't get the 60027 rear shocks. Stick with either the 60028 or something valved a little softer. It bucks like a bronco on bumps in the road.

I had the ARB OME HD lift (heavy duty, same as 883/891) on my Land Rover Disco a few years ago with some pretty tall tires. It road firm, but frankly it did not bother me as I come from also owning plenty of sports cars that had more "road feel" (Supra turbo, few M3's, two 350z's, Subaru STi). Sold the Disco due to the well known reliability issues. :shocked:

I'm planning on doing the full steel front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, winch, and a slim cargo box for the rear so the HD springs/shocks will probably be necessitated. :thumb:

I completed my first "modifications" with OEM looking 01' LED tailights and Weathertech digi floor mats. As stupid as it sounds, the new tailights really bring the truck up to date without looking ricey. And the weathertech floor mats, albeit $187.00 for just the front and rear, are very nice in fit and finish. It's one of those purchases that at first is a sticker shock, nearly $200 bones for some rubber mats, but after you have them the postdecisional dissonance resolves. LOL

Thanks for the compliment. My tires are 265/75r16 Cooper Discoverer STT on stock wheels. I don't have any suggestions for winter worthy tires. Our winters in Mid TN are very mild with very little snow.

The lift I have is not an actual Toytec lift like their Ultimate lift. It's the Old Man Emu HD lift that I ordered through them. I have since replaced the OME 60027 rear shocks with Bilstein shocks for 01-06 Tundra. They offer a much better ride.

Awesome action shots. Great captures. Any other mods on your suspension? Looking at the pics, it's pretty insane on the flex you got on your suspension set up. Trying to save up to get my lift upgrade. Btw you didn't get any rubbing issues with your tires considering we have body flares? Thanks for the reply!

[MENTION=5897]rl-4runner[/MENTION], I just saw this post. No other mods on the suspension. The rear flexes better than I had hoped for. I have OME883 up front and 891 in the rear. I've had no rubbing issues at all with my tires.
