installed USA-SPEC adapter and now 3 buttons don't work :(

I have installed the USA-SPEC TOY20 IPOD module and everything works fine from Audio point of view.. but I have noticed that all three buttons (115v power, RSCA OFF and CENTER DIFF) are not working anymore
I checked the connections, junction box, etc and everything looks ok..
What could be wrong?

actually only two buttons are not working - 115v and RSCA OFF.. that is a bit of relief but nevertheless - what did I do wrong?

I am assuming you have already checked all the fuses. Take that panel down and check to be certain that the harnesses are plugged in. If they work then it may just be that the wiring there is a bit short and the harnesses aren't quite a tight fit on the buttons. That would be the first thing I would try. It is only a couple of bolts and takes a few minutes to verify the buttons are properly connected and that they actually work. If that doesn't work then you can start chasing the circuits a bit more. If you used those clips that tap wires for power make sure you didn't break any of the wires or pull them out of the actual plastic harness. It may appear the harness is connected but if a wire is lose or pulled out it won't work.

yeah, checked the fuses, all good.. actually - I never used the RSCA OFF button before so I figured out from service manual that it had to be pressed for two seconds before the light goes on..
so, the only one that is definitely not working is 115v power.. Maybe the relay is dead..

Well at the risk of asking a stupid question...did you know the vehicle has to be on for the button to work? I mean no offense...just checking...

Does the light on the button AC button light up and the power outlet not work? If so it could be a connection or wiring in the center console area. Something could be unplugged there as well. When you ran your wires if you ran through that area to put the iPod in the center box something could have come unplugged.

Do the Cigarette Lighter Ports work? If they don't it may be a relay. I would have to dig out a wiring diagram to double check but if I recall correctly the electrical are all on the same circuit. It may help to figure out if all the ports are out or just the AC port. That will narrow down where the wiring issue may be.

If all the ports are dead you certainly can try switching a relay. Grab one that isn't critical like the one for the dome light or something and swap it out. If that fixes it all you have to do is pick up a new part. I don't really think that is the issue since you just installed new stuff. It sounds more like something is disconnected...can't hurt to check these things though.

yes, of course - the car was running when I tried to push 115v button.. everything else is working (the cigarette lighter, AC light, etc).. I doubt that I accidentally unplugged a connection in the center console.. I did it very carefully and these connectors are not really easy to take apart..
the light on the 115v power button does not come on so I am thinking if this is the result of no power coming to the button or the light goes on only in case the whole circuit is functioning.. If someone has the wiring diagram for this button that would be great. (or the diagnostic page)..
