Installing A Set of Components...Have A Question...4th Gen

I'm about to install a set of Infinity 6020cs 6.5" components in the front (4th Gen with JBL 10 speaker system) but I was wondering...which wire do I use to power the crossover? The one going to the woofer or the tweeter? I know I have to use my own wires that go from the crossover to the tweeter and woofer, I just need to know which factory wires do I need to tap into to power the crossover.

OR

Do I have to locate the factory crossover and get it from there? If so, where is it? What does it look like? Is it hard to find?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The passive crossover between the tweeter and the 6x9 oval is a capacitor and is soldered into the negative wire to the tweeter. It looks like a fat spot in the wire and has heat shrink tubing (black) over it. Did you get a crossover with the new speakers? Unless you bought an active (powered) crossover you should use the one that is already in the system. No power wire is required for a passive crossover.

Yes, I got new crossovers with my speakers. So which wire should I be using for my new crossovers? I would rather use my new crossovers, I don't want them to go to waste.

There is no way I could know what to tell you without seeing them. Why were no instructions included with them? You will also need to remove the existing crossover.

The capacitor to the tweeter you're talking about, could that possibly be a bass blocker?

Unless Toyota changed wire colors this should be what you see when you remove the door panel.

Yes the cap is a bass blocker.
