Installing dash cam to power from auto dim mirror

I searched but did not get a hit

I have the correct Dongar adapter on order but being from the era of distributors, points and dimmers on the floor, I am unsure where the Dongar plugs into the mirror on my 2022 SR5P.

I see a square indentation with a white plastic cover inside on the rear of the mirror.

Is that it????

Mine came with a perfect set of instructions. Not too hard to suss out without instructions either

I considered the ones that came with the adapter less than perfect,, but maybe because they were small and hard to really visualize for these 84 year old eyes from the era of points, distributors and dimmer and starter switches on the floor��. Plus ham fisted mechanical here vs late model electrical��.

I found the similar ones I linked to much better, for me at least��

This will also be my first ever electrical venture other than a battery swap on a modern vehicle. Other stuff has been mechanical like lift, front receiver, roof rack, etc
