Installing double din aftermarket HU

I'm installing the AVN 5435 (double din unit). I have the JBL 6 cd changer. I want to purchase the dash parts to make the unit look stock. This thread points out which parts to buy. http://toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9821&perpage=15&pagenumber=1
It shows i need to buy the ac control unit and the center assy. Does anyone know what the difference is on the ac control unit? There is a "type a" and a "type b".

one has a small little plastic piece/bezel that goes under your cd changer, the other one is a little narrower, for single disc and navigation.

How to take off the front plastic to install double din nav system

Hi,

I bought a nav system avic-z1. I cannot figure it out, how to take out my stock doube din radio/mp3. the plastic around it, does it have hooks or screws.
how did u guys took it out, or the stereo just slips out ?
