Installing Kenwood DNX5120 on 2007 4Runner, which Metra double din kit do I use?

The Metra 95-8202 seems to be the one I should buy, but all it looks like are 2 little plastic pieces that fit on the side of the stereo? If anyone has installed this with a Kenwood stereo how did it turn out and do you have any pictures? The Metra 95-8210 is a full frame but it says that is meant for Limited 4Runners, but I have an SR5. Which one should I buy? I just have the non-JBL basic stereo in my 4Runner now. Thanks!

Yeah thanks I did a search and saw all of the posts. It appears that I am stuck with the 8202 kit that got mixed results. Some liked it and some didn't. I would still like to see a picture of it with a Kenwood double din unit installed if possible!

I have an 07 SR5 and installed an Eclipse 6620 and used the Scosche (non JBL) kit and it's OK. The Metra is probably about the same from what I've seen/read. I've seen a modified Metra (limited kit) on this forum that looks better. If you have the time and patience to go that route, you'll be happier with the result than with the standard (non JBL) Metra kit. I am satisfied with mine now, but if I had time, I would probably try making the limited kit work.

Thanks dude. I actually ended up ordering the same Scocshe (non JBL) kit as you b/c it came free with the Scosche wiring harness when I bought the Kenwood stereo unit yesterday. It does look the same as the Metra one from the pictures online. Glad to know it worked out for you. I will post some pics when I get the new stereo and install it hopefully sometime next week.

Question: where did you put the GPS antenna for your Eclipse 6620? I read some people on here were able to just put their GPS antennas on a flat surface behind the stereo in the dash. This sounds good to me since it will be hidden but I am wondering about the reception I will get?

The guys who did my install put the GPS antenna in the corner of the dash on the passenger side (where the windshield and dash meet). I get really good GPS reception there. I've heard that putting the GPS antenna behind the head unit also works well, plus it would be hidden, which is a plus. Let me know how that works out for you.
