Installing LR UCA's- Large Bolt will not come out

Installing Light Racing Upper Control Arms right now and everything is going well except the large bolt that holds the UCA to the chassis will not budge. This is the driver's side and I have not gotten to the passenger side. The bolt seems to be bonded to the inner portion of the rubber bushing and just springs back rather than breaks loose. I removed the nut on the other side.

Any special tools or techniques for this?

Of course. I had to take the wheel off. I followed Mikestangs DIY for the Donohoes but it doesn't quite do it as far as the large bolt. I'm on it with breaker bar and everything- It just springs back to position. I tried hammering it out from the other side but that doesn't work either.

I had that issue, I took my blow torch and burned the fcuk out of it and kept slamming it with a hammer, eventually came out that way. Stock UCA's were shot though after that.

This is an idea. So to be specific- you took the torch to the whole front bushing end and bolt head, including the bushing, or did you just heat the metal? Did you basically have to melt the rubber bushing away from the bolt to get it out? I feel like this is the only way to go. I just tried putting eveything back together, and letting the weight of the vehicle keep the bolt and bushing from turning and tried to break it loose but it's not happening.

Anyone else? I'm really stuck here. I'm trying to separate the inside of the rubber suspension bushing from the bolt- apparently they are bonded together somehow, but the gap is really small and I can't get anything in there. I'm hacking the shit out of this thing and I think I'm past the point of no return.

Edit- Got it. What a *****. The bolt was bonded with the bushing. By contrast, the passenger side came apart with no effort at all. Done in 20 minutes. :first:

I'm going to be doing this myself soon. What did you do to break the bolt loose from the bushing, if you don't mind reliving the agony
