i just bought the TomTom Navigation that came out from an 08 Urban Runner, i got the whole kit (CD, O's Manual, Wire's, adapter etc..).
the problem I'm having is the wiring. it seem that the unit have similar spec to my unit (06 SE stander unit) but with added of tomtom in different wiring & connectors. I'm trying to not cut my wires!

here are my questions
1st- dose tomtom unit have a seconder adapter next the 1st adapter?

this is the connectors, so call to the wiring harness from the adapter

I

my guess is for Satellite Radio since the unit (SAT RADIO READY)
but not shore
and in O's Manual said (the navigation function can also be used even if the PND is Detached from the main unit)
i think that small tomtom dose all navigation work and the main unit just plays sound!

I believe the black plug is for the ipod cable. The green might be for sat radio. I have the eclipse 2210p stm.

The green is for the GPS antenna and the black one is for the ipod connection the xm or sirius isnt on the head unit it is located on a completely different wiring harness. what ever you do dont add sirius or xm i am about to get rid of mine. i have sirius in mine and when ever there is a cd in the unit you cant turn it to sirius, you have to take out the cd and let it sit for about an hour turned off. i install custom stereos for a living and my local toyota dealer wont warrenty it because i installed the sirius my self.

Why would there be a plug for the gps antenna when its utilizing a standalone tom tom unit. The GPS antenna is built into the tomtom so that you can use it as a portable device.

I believe eclipse was working on an update so that sat radio would work properly.

i believe its the GPS antenna because it is a coaxial type and its not the am/fm antenna. with tomtom and GPS components that are similar can have an external antenna add to them so when they are docked they switch to the external antenna.

Well, I have the 2210p stm, which is the same as the Urban Runners setup, and there is no external antenna, so I would assume it to be somthing else.

thanks

thank you for your replays.
cennijimenez about adding Sirius or XM
I'm an old fashioned with radio so is OK, also the GPS antenna i don't have one so i will install the unit and see if it will work without it, and your right it is for the GPS antenna thanks.
i think the GPS antenna is boost signal for the TomTom GPS, i notice that signal it been fading wild I'm driving.
i just have to install it and see what happen.
i have question
1. Is there an adapter for the R5 connector the one that it been use for Steering control and AUX.

Also you can buy the urbanrunners trim piece for the cleanest look. Its not the cheapest, but it sure looks good.

hey Euphor501 the trim piece is pricey I'm not willing to spend more than $30.00 for it, but i found this from another post here's how it look link. look the same haa

no luck for the connector R5. i know there is an R1 connector that used for 10 speakers JBL.
ohh yeah both have 20 PIN

wiring

NOW I really need that wiring for the 08 Urban Runner Audio.
The wires for that Steering wheel control & the Speed sensor have different colors!!

The AUX Adapter have too many wiring (9) compare to mine which only have 4 wires. i know that i will not need to use all the 9 wires from the adapter maybe only 4 and one extra for ground, but some of the AUX wires on my car doesn't match was on the "2006 Toyota 4Runner Repair Manual"
