intake silencer removal mod

hey guys, i juss did the intake silencer removal mod on my 1996 2.7l base 4x2 4runner, all i did was remove the elbow and the inner pipe that was held with 2 bolts. do i also need to remove that s shape pipe thats connected to the airbox by a ribot?, i dont seem to hear any difference of sound yet, even tho i left the efi fuse off for 20 mins.

ok guys, i have remove the s shape pipe that was held by a ribot, now im waitin for my true flow filter i order, i wonder if i will notice a difference in sound if i remove the canister and plug that up thats right after the maf. also anyone know the sizze of the intake pipes, i am thinkin of goin to home depot and get pvc or abs pipe to relace the ones on the intake
