Intakes, worth it on the '93 3.0?

well i dont have a 3.0 but whats it gonna hurt to put on an intake. most people get throttle response and low end torque

I don't have one on my 4runner but I do on my MR2.
I think CAI's are not worth the money spent besides the bling factor and the cool sound of sucking air there is little to no performance gain.
If you want to spend the $$ go for it just don't expect much.

I have the fitercharger on my 3.slow - and they are right, don't expect much. It does make more noise - and I did notice a VERY SLIGHT improvement overall. Yes throttle response is a little better - and there is an improvement in low end - but other than that - - -- I do not think it was worth the cash - wish I had found this and 4x4 wire before I spent my money. 
Perhaps a drop-in would have been just as good, and kept the stock airbox. If you get a good ebay deal, go for it - if not - I would do a drop in. It would be a little quieter, and a little more water ready.
