Interest in a Baja Rack 3rd gen roof access ladder?

so is the first pic the baja one? all the others are pics of the gobi ladder. i wonder if anyone makes one that goes off the side like the 5th gen ones.

I'd get one for the right price. I can understand why they didn't want start a project on a 15 year old vehicle for just us few. I'm thinking they want 100 people before they show interest.

Looks good but the thing I don't like about the rear hatch ladders is you have to have the door closed to use it. I'd rather see a removable one that has lower studs which feed through holes drilled in the side right bumper (it's just an easily replaceable bumper so not too concerned about drilling into it) basically the equivalent location to the gas filler cap but on the other side. Then you tighten up some hand nuts at the top attachment point on the roof rack. Then it's accessible all the time. When driving you undo the two upper hand nuts, and lift it out of the two holes in the side bumper and mount it across the back of the roof rack. Requires a bit more effort for installation and removal but the benefit is the roof is always accessible while at camp.

If they're not interested in doing them, my little shop would be willing to if it makes sense money wise to make a few. I have a 3rd gen myself. Would you all be looking for a no-drilling setup? If possible anyways.

Hey i'd be super interested in a ladder that would fit the baja rack. it's the only thing keeping me from buying one right now. You still thinking about making some?

I just read this and got to thinking, my bumper has a step cut into it. So all I'd need was a 3 rung ladder that could hook onto the rack and give a hand in climbing up top. It could have padded stand offs that let it lean on the bumper, tire or body/glass and hook onto the top of rack. The price of gobi-broke stuff means it's all homemade for me.

The owner said the would need lots interest to revisit it.

He said they had bigger R&D Projects in the works at the moment that take priority
