Interior light question

So I've had my 4runner for a little over 2 months now and I think at some point I saw lights coming from the cup holders but I've only seen them on once and haven't seen them on again ever since. Just wondering if i was seeing things or are there actually lights by the cup holder.
Another question is are there lights on the left part of the air control circle buttons? There are lights in the middle and the right one but the left one doesn't seem to light up other than the arrows and it makes it hard to switch air flow at night.

yes the cup holders have lights but not very bright. some have installed xtra leds there. there are better threads but this should give you info on the hvac lights http://www.toyota120.com/html/center_console_lights.html
