SuperBrightLEDs has colored LED bulbs, as well as plain white. Assuming you have a 4th generation 4Runner, you will need the 194/168 wedge bulbs for all 4 door lights, the 2 map lights, as well as the 2 license plate lights. The 2 dome lights(middle ceiling and rear ceiling) use the 3022 festoon bulbs, and require one bulb for each one.

wedge base

can you be more specific on which wedge base lights fit?
i want to order them but after getting on that site, there are so many different kinds of wedge base lights.
help me out!!
Thanks!

How did those lights turn out...i don't want them too bright

I ended up using the white High power. They are on page 1 near the bottom.
WLED-WHP Pure White High Power
12 VDC Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)
With High Power Pure White LED
Our brightest bulb of this type - Polarized bulb $ 4.95

These were the look I wanted. They are bright but look great! Have them in the doors, running boards, map lights, license plate.
I bought the 9 LED festoon for the ceiling. Have the High power version of that coming , probably gonna replace the 9 LED with the HP one.

How much brighter are the High power and the 9 LED's than original? I'd like brighter and whiter but not too much.

Go with the High Power. You wont be disappointed, I guarantee it. Its not outrageous. The light is somewhat brighter, but more than bright its pure WHITE. Looks a lot better IMO The factory light is a dull warming yellow.
remember that there are covers on most of the lights so there is some buffer zone.
I didn

I'll try those out, thanks. The interior lights are just SO dim and when they slowly light up when you open the door it actually takes a significant moment to be able to see anything at all.

As I stated above.
You wont be disappointed

I'd wait on ordering. I have the High Power festoon on order, should be here in a few days. Im not sure I like the 9LED festoon.
I'll post my comments when I compare the 2.

hey DSMGSX
can u post some pictures of HP leds. i had 6-LED Wedge Base Bulb on my license plate and one of them went out. and i was curious how High Powered one looked like.

Do your map lights light up with the dome lights? Mine don't and this is the first vehicle I've had that doesn't do that. I think that would make the biggest difference in interior lighting. In fact I don't think I'd have a problem with the lighting at all if this were the case.

Not by unlocking the vehicle, or opening the doors, like the dome lights do. You have to click them on by pressing on them.

That's how mine work, odd. The back seat gets plenty of light but nothing up front unless you turn them on manually. Oh well, not a huge deal I guess, just an odd annoyance.

I just got the rest of my order today. I installed them in the running boards and the license. I'll take some shots tonight.

Sorry guys don't have a tripod, hard to take pictures in the dark without one.

Thanks! :iagree:
You will be happy by waiting. They gave me the "look" I was after.
Fairly easy to replace. Lay on your back under the board. The assembly rotates (twists) down then you pull the light out.
