Interior Question

I currently own a '95 Runner. I also have a child on the way and have questions about child seats. To be more specific, I have a question about child seats in my '95. What year did Toyota begin using the LATCHs (lower car seat anchors) in the 4 Runner? Is that rear seat the same size as mine? Can I install the "newer" rear seat into my '95 with relative ease? I've been searching for the info and haven't had much luck.

Is there a special reason that you want the LATCH seat? My daughters car seat is every bit as secure in my '97 using just a rear seatbelt as it is in my wife's car that uses LATCH.

Easy answer . . . the wife. She's talking about wanting to go out and buy a new car so it has the latch things . . .

That's funny because my wife honestly prefers securing our car seats in my runner than in her car with the fancy system.

I have a 98 4Runner and my Wife has an 06 GX470. We eventually bought 2 car seats. In the whining we would move the seat from car to car. It seems o me to have a tighter fit in my car with the seatbelt instea of her car with the latch system. Also ease of removal was actually easier in the seatbelt. My bib hands found it difficult to reach under the seat for the latch. If you look it up on-line they do sell retro anchor systems so you can install a latch system I. An older car.
