The exterior is a blah color. Reminds me of a file cabinet on wheels. Do you really think the interior color of a file cabinet makes much difference?:)

For the life of me, I can not understand why institutional grey is a popular color.

 Shadow Mica is a dark color, not quite black. It's also got colored flecks in the paint that sparkle in the sunlight. Far from an institutional gray.

NIETHER! I think a red or blue leather would look real nice!!! Kinda clash with all color options offered with the 4Runner (LOL)

:xnuts:

Checked out the color on Toyota.com, perhaps it was not a good representation of the color. I noticed that nautical blue on the web site is not even close to the actual color.

I think shadow mica is only offered with a stone interior. Correct me if I am mistaken. Maybe I a confusing this option with Galactic Gray.

Toyota used to make vehicles with blue and even maroon colored interiors now it's just either taupe or stone.

For some reason just on the 4Runner no matter what interior color you have be it Stone or Taupe the dash pad, steering wheel and steering column cover, instrument cluster finish panel are all the same color, dark gray and ofcourse the silver accents. It's just the lower half of the dash, glovebox, seats, carpets, pillar garnishes and headliners that are either stone or taupe

I am refering only to the 4th Gen ofcourse

According to toyota.com, here are the color choices for 2007:

These exterior colors allow Taupe, Stone, or Dark Charcoal interiors:
Shadow Mica, Galactic Gray Mica, Salsa Red Pearl, Black, Titanium Metallic, and Natural White

These exterior colors allow Taupe or Stone:
Nautical Blue Metallic, Driftwood Pearl

Other restrictions:
The Dark Charcoal interior is the Sport Edition interior., so you can't get an SE in Nautical Blue or Driftwood Pearl.

Shadow Mica is available on a Limited only.

Salsa Red Pearl is onlv available on a V8 without the 3rd row seat.

I hope thats not true! Hopefully its only in your region. Either that, or Toyota's website is outdated.

Don't tell me they changed their minds on Salsa Red. I know there is a Salsa Red for a V6. Ask blindside here. ;): He'll explain. lol. I remember I almost ended up with a Salsa Red V6.

I just checked toyota.com and it does list the same restrictions toto posted. It appears to be a national thing, not regional.

The 2006 colors according to the brochure are:
-SR5 fabric interior in Taupe or Stone, SE fabric in Dark Charcoal, and Limited leather in Taupe or Stone.
-Driftwood Pearl with Taupe interior, N/A on SE, SR5 and Limited only.
-Nautical Blue Metallic with Stone or Taupe, N/A on SE, SR5 and Limited only.
-Salsa Red Pearl and Shawdow Mica not available on third-row seat option.
-Natural White, Titanium Metallic, Galactic Gray Mica and Black are available on all trims.

Im wondering if this may be a regional thing. I have seen both an '06 and '07 SR5 with the 3rd row seat in Shadow Mica at a dealership in NH.

My heart about stopped too, because I'm planning on getting a Shadow Mica SE. I looked in the 2007 brochure. I can see why it's confusing in the color combinations. It lists codes 28,29, & 30.
30=Available on Limited only
29= Available on Sport only
28= Available on SR5 and Limited

It goes: "Shadow Mica (30) with Stone (28), Taupe (28) or Dark Charcoal (29) interior"

It seems to contradict itself. It lists 30 with the Shadow Mica, indicating that it's Limited only. But it says that Shadow Mica is available with Dark Charcoal interior, which is Sport only.

Someone messed up the brochure.

BLACK!!!

i know they dont have that but they should. but scince there is no choice i would go with grey

My '06 SE is Shadow Mica - love that color. It sparkles like crazy in direct sunlight.

The carpet and other trim is stone. Taupe would mismatch if you putting in aftermarket seats or upholstry. Definitely go with stone.

The black sport seats contrast well with the carpet.

I have a 06 Shadow Mica sport edition with port installed black liquicell leather seats (gulf states region). I think it looks pretty good.
