Intermittent front heater

Hey guys, I've ran into the same issue with my 92 and I'm kicking myself for not checking the truck out better when I bought it. I have great heat coming from the rear heat unit but only cold air from the front. I've checked the coolant level no issues there. I'm going to check the valve for coolant flow to the heater core and the hoses to make sure nothing is kinked or incorrectly routed from when the HG were done.

Find out what hose is the feed hose and take the return hose off and see if your heater core is clogged. Easy fast Simple way.
 
Found the problem and....

So I got the truck into the shop on Christmas eve just before my shop closed and I got to take a better look under the hood. Turns out the cable that connects the lever on the dash temperature control was unhooked from the coolant flow control valve. I did check and made sure that the valve wasn't stuck due to something in it that caused it to have become disconnected in the first place. I reconnected the cable and function tested it. Not one issue found and the next day my truck had defrosted my windows for the first time since I got it. If anyone needs help and pictures let me know. Have a great New Years!! :banana:
