Intro and Brake Q's

I wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to the Forum. I recently picked up an 04 T4R SR5 as a winter/family truck for my family. The reading I have done here helped me decide what to get. Thanks!

Now for the bad news:
When I purchased the truck (private party) I knew it needed brakes. There was a minor pulsation when breaking. I didn’t think it would be a problem (i am fairly handy) and I was able to get the price down considerably because of it.

Anyway, I've replace the front rotors, pads and calipers (seized pistons). I went through the bedding process, etc. Unfortunately, my problem persists. After the brakes heat up there is a noticeable pulsation when braking. It is more noticeable when the vehicle slows under 15 MPH.

Any ideas? I am going to dig into the rear brakes this weekend and see if that could be the problem. Just wondering if i am missing anything.?

P.S. After doing all this work, there is no noticeable difference in brake pedal feeling (still spongy), and braking distance hasn’t decreased.

Well, the back brakes were the problem... After 3 hours of trying to get the rear rotors off last night I ended up taking it to the local Toyota dealership today. After new pads, one new caliper and rotor the 4runner is fixed!

No more pulsation, although I expected the brake feel to improve, it is still a little squishy...

With a $500 bill from Toyota, I will have to put off a lift for a few months.
