Introduction Thread

Let me start by apologizing for the following long-winded post.

I wanted to introduce myself as it's looking like I could be a 4Runner owner in the near future. My name is Ryan, am 25 and live in Las Vegas. I have owned 9 vehicles in the 9 years that I have been driving, all of which have been Japanese. None of which have been a Toyota: 4 Honda S2000s, a Honda Civic, a Honda Fit, a Subaru STi, an Infiniti G20 and a Nissan Titan. I am selling my current S2000 and Titan to get rid of all my debt and pay cash for a 4Runner. I am beginning my Master's Program in August and want to prepare financially for when that is over to begin my Doctoral degree. Here are pictures of my current cars that should be sold before I get my 4Runner:

It is funny how difficult car buying can be when you have a specific car in mind. I have a prospective buyer for my current car and am starting to really look into finding the right 4Runner, but have been unsuccessful so far. I know others had a tough time finding the right one as well and believe my issue is that I'm particular and want an uncommon combination.

Here is my ideal 4Runner:
White
Non-Tan Interior (Possibly willing to budge on this if I have to)
V-6
4WD (Figure is less common in V-6 than V-8)
Under 60,000 Miles (Would really like under 40k, but not sure will be in price range)
Under $22k (Preferably under $20k if possible)

This is one that I have found, but am not sure whether it's "the one": Cars for Sale: 2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5 in Sandy, UT 84070: Sport Utility Details - 274278594 - AutoTrader.com

My only plans for modding are wheels/tires, FJ suspension and a small spacer in the front. Possibly an aftermarket in-dash navigation at some point as well.

Nice Titan:bigok: I had an '05 and enjoyed it very much... I went from the Titan into my 4Runner. Regrets? Not really. I do miss the power somewhat (not much). I really miss the Titan's headroom and seats. (I'm 6'1" with a tall upper body and 200lbs. My sunroof equipped 4Runner 'works' but barely.)

Why no V8 4Runner? If I was doing the used thing and cash deal I don't know that I'd seek either one but I do know I wouldn't rule either out... With no car payments the 1-2mpg hit doesn't mean a thing...

The white one in the link looks pretty sweet. That may be the "one":D

The only aspects I'll miss will be the ability to carry really large items like exhausts and what not that will have to hang out the back window, the leg room for passengers and the towing ability. Other than that, I'm looking forward to a more comfy ride again. :)

sick rides dude! sucks you gotta sell but why white and not black?

Nice cars bro! You've got some taste. I'm more partial to your S2 but the Titan looks damn nice as well. I love the yellow accents on both. Particularly the rims on the S2 and the coils on the Titan.

Thanks guys. It's just a matter of time. Everytime I own a black car I swear I'll never own another. This time, I'm going to try to stick with that.

The wheels on the Titan are TE37s. Luckily the Titan and 4Runner share the same bolt pattern.

I have had a sponsorship with the distributor of Volk wheels, so I really am not the best to tell you pricing on them. All I can tell you is that they are the only wheels I want on a truck and that them not fitting on a Pathfinder is the reason I'm not considering one of them. I think they have 16's, but they look much different.
