A couple of questions about power outlets on new 4Rs. What is the power outlet on factory equipped 115V inverters? How much power do the 12V (cigeratte lighter type) outlets put out, which could run a plug-in inverter?
If memory serves me correctly, the 12V cigarette lighters have a 10A load capacity. the one in the console next to the driver has the numbers silkscreened on it on my 2004...
doh...I just reread your message...I see that I misunderstood. the factory inverter is 100W @ 115VAC. Rather than delete the previous post, tho. I'll leave it as it has useful info, too (I just verified it).
Thanks. That helps alot. Enough to recharge batteries, small lights, coffee pot, but not enough to carry a serious load. Not too big a deal if I can't get a 4R with the inverter.

This may not be an issue for you but a coffee pot could easily require 10 times the amount of power a 100 watt inverter would supply. A typical automatic drip coffee maker uses 1000 or more watts. Maybe there's a special low power coffee maker for RVs that would work. Coffee makers may not be relevant to your plans, but I thought I'd mention it just in case...
