IOS 10 won't pair with audio bluetooth

Hi All-
On my 2016 trail I have discovered that my iphone 6S with the IOS 10 update will not pair via bluetooth to my sound system so I can't play my itunes music or use the speaker phone over the sound system. Anyone else having this issue? I've tried it with my phone and my son's iphone that also has the IOS 10 update and neither device can pair now to the 4runner system. Any insights on how to fix this would be appreciated!

Some people (myself included) are having an issue iOS 10 not pairing with any bluetooth speaker as well as battery drain.

Back up your phone and roll back to 9.3.5

Mine pairs, but the music cuts a lot and sounds fast-forwarded. I just turn Bluetooth off and on again, and it's fine after that.

interesting....
the issue is when I turn bluetooth on and try and discover available devices, the 4runner never appears in the menu as an option. Other bluetooth devises show up but not the 4runner. Is there a max # of bluetooth devices the 3runner can recognize? right now it has my old phone and my daighter's phone shown as available devices so perhaps it will only allow up to 2 devices in it's memory? If so how do I clear out the other old phone I no longer use from the list stored in the 4runner system?

Has to be a way to unpair, delete, forget, remove etc.... from the HU!
Not in T4R so can't tell for sure.....
I bet if you do a reset of the bluetoofffff, that'll do it.

I had a problem where my Spotify music would suddenly pause and it would never be able to play again. What I did was:

turn off Bluetooth in phone
delete old pairing of iPhone on Toyota head unit
I reinstalled IOS 10 on phone
Turned on Bluetooth on phone and paired with Toyota
didn't have a problem since then and its been about a week since I tried this

Page 49 of the Audio-Nav manual states that 5 phones can be paired. Page 50 details how to delete a device. Assuming you have an Entune system...

I had no issues after updating my iOS on my 6. Upgraded to a 7 and still no issues.

I did go through the system and delete the old phone and pair the new one. I'd start with that and see if that fixes it for you.

LOL on the android "problem solved" link. haha

Ok...will read the manual to see how to delete old phone and see if I can get it to work tomorrow!
