iPod Battery w/Aux

My 5th Gen iPod will play for hours when plugged into desktop speakers or when using headphones...but will only last a couple of minutes when plugged into the AUX jack on my 4th Gen 4Runner. Same volume levels, same cable. Temperature may be somewhat different, but not so much so that I would consider it would be the cause.

Any ideas as to why this would be the case? Any remedies?

that's odd. the only thing the aux jack takes from your ipod is audio but no power. There is nothing in your headphone jack attached to the ipod battery so i cant see why that would effect it. Unless your plugged into the bottom of your ipod.
