IPod Cable & ios5 Issues?

I used to be able to run my iPhone, more specifically Pandora, through my cable to my headunit......since I updated the software on the phone to the new ios5, it won't let me listen to music in the truck anymore.

Anyone else had/experienced this problem before with the software updates, I've noticed Apple blocks you from being able to use "older" products, like the docking station, etc. so that you have to buy the newest software in order to play music. Quite frustrating, anyone else had this happen to them?

I had to download an update to Pandora today, so if the new update fixes the ios5 issue.

As soon as I loaded iOS5 I had to do a fair share of updates to my apps. Since the updates all seems well, but I've only played my iPod music from my phone. I'll try Pandora and let you know if there's any problem.

**EDIT: This is on my 98 model, and I'm using a Scosche USB adapter for my iPhone (that I originally used for my iPod), connected to the back of my Kenwood HU. So I'm not exactly working with factory interface--not sure if that'll be different than what you're working with or not.

Thanks for the help guys. I tried to update Pandora, and all the apps that requested it too, but to no avail. A box pops up and lets me know that it isn't compatible to play. It won't even play the regular music off my iPhone.
I have not tried my iPad2 yet, which before the ios5 update, played music off it with no issues.

My headunit has an iPod connect wire from the back that I ran into my glovebox and my HU is the Pioneer AVIC-D3, if that helps.

My true feeling is that apple updated their software to make it not work on older accessories. It makes sense so that you're required to buy newer accessories and spend more $$$$ on their products. haha. Correct me if I'm wrong, I certainly have been before!!!!!!!!!!

This is quite annoying now that I can't play music. :frog:
