IPOD Integration with 2006 Factory Nav

Is the best way to connect an IPOD to the 2006 factory Nav stereo via the mini jack? If so, do song titles display on the Nav screen? Are you able to control the IPOD via the steering wheel buttons?

with the mini jack, all you control is sound volume. thats it. i know it sounds weak but ive gotten use to it. im thinking of getting a Pioneer nav unit, where i can get the ipod attachment.

That way is the easiest/cleanest way. You won't be able to control the IPOD or see the song titles on the NAV through the AUX jack. It is just audio through that jack. You can buy 3rd party interfaces that make the Ipod look like a CD changer which can display song titles and have track control through the steering wheel buttons.

I think one is called ICE, forgot the name of the other one. They would require installation behind the NAV unit. Do a search in the audio and electronics forum.
