iPod interface w/text for 03 with Nav/JBL

Hey all, new member here...long time 4runner owner. I had a 97 Limited, an 01 Sport, and now an 03 Limited ...Anyways, on to my question.

I have been search high and low online to find the answer and can't. As the title says, I have an 03 with the factory navigation (generation 3) and JBL system. I am looking for an iPod adapter that will display the text information from the songs. I found several adapters who claim to work, but nothing that says it will for sure with the navigation system. (I guess it is rare to have it an 03). I am hoping someone has a setup that can verify that it will work, and what adapter I need to buy. Any help is appreciated, looking forward to spending more time on the boards!

I have the USA Spec PA-15 ipod interface which works well with my JBL system, however am not sure if the same situation exists with the nav system. Try their website and see what they recommend.

I'm also looking for an iPod interface. I'm pretty much sold on the USA SPEC PA-20. I'm also looking at the NAV hack (Lockpick 2) to allow usage while in motion. http://www.coastaletech.com/lockpick2.htm
I just want to make sure I can use them together.

I have a vaistech adapter in my truck and it work great...not sure of the compatibility with a 2003 though

i also bought a vaistech on ebay. they are pretty much the only ones that garanteed ipod with text and sirius radio for an 05 with nav. i actually called the company and said i could try it for 30 days and if i didn't like anything about it i could return it

The USA Spec will provide text on your radio.

The Lock pick by Coastaletech is cool as hell. I've never seen one on a toyota or how they function, but on GM vehicles you would never know they are there. You control the activation of the lock pick by factory buttons which is awesome considering what they are offering is basically illegal.

Usa spec pa20toy

I installed the USA SPEC PA20TOY in my 2007 4runner with the OEM JBL navigation. Text is on the screen and steering wheel controls work. There is even a mode so you can operate the iPod manually.
