Ipod Nano

Dude, thats insane...i'm considering gettin an ipod nano. Thick as a pencil. The only downside i can think of it is the memory...top of the line is only 4gigs. I'm always curious if connections are the same for the nano to the 20s/minis. It looks different to me.

i was thinking about getting one for the gym as my 20gb ipod is a bit 'big' and gets in the way. i got my GF the ipod shuffle and she likes that a lot too... that may also be a consideration for me too. but yeah, the Nano in black looks killer and the engraving on the rear is free.

oh, i'm pretty sure to connect the Nano to your PC/Mac is via a cable w/ a USB. not sure if the Nano ha a dock like my ipod does.

i just got the 60gb. But i got the FM transmitter ( itrip) but thats b/c i didnt know how to connect ipod to car. But it stiill works greeat.

i have to go to DC/VA at the end of Oct. for a wedding and i was gonna bring the iPod along and i was going to get the Griffin iTrip. how's the sound from it? is there radio interference? is there another way to hook the iPod up? i want whetever's cheapest as i'll never use it in the car again.

the itrip is the best thing that griffin has invented! it works great in the car. I bought it from www.macmall.com and i got a free car charger for it! (even though i have the 112v) i have minne set to 87.9fm and the quality is great. I highly reccomend u getting one.

HOLD up ! sorry i didnt read the end part! if you're never going to use it in the car again instead of paying $40 just buy the cassette Adapter http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2569421 for about 30 dollars cheaper! i bought the itrip because my 2006 accord doesnt have a cassette player!

i'm real weary about using one of those, but being it's Belkin, i may use that instead.

Griffin makes great products. i have the iMic which i use to rip vinyl into MP3s. they're a great brand for sure!

I saw commercials for the nano but seeing is definitely believing. I saw one today for the first time in the apple store and it is amazing. That thing is thinner than a pencil and light. It even has a color screen that is very sharp! Right now, I use an ipod mini and it feels like a brick compared to the nano. I was very impressed! Also, what is up with the laser engraving? I never heard of this offer.

anyway, the laser engraving i think goes back to the 1st Gen iPods. you can have something like your name, slogan, whatever, engraved on the back. it's done at the factory. mine is engraved w/ my initials.

if you wanna see a good example of engraving, check out the U2 iPod pics, the back is engraved w/ their signatures. i'll try and get pics

his name is Arron L. i'll leave out his last name, PM me and i'll tell you his full last name.

as far as the engraving goes, the only way to get it is if you ordered the iPod via the Apple website as they did it per customer order before shipping them out. that's how i got mine. you can go to the Apple site and pretend to buy one and there will be a section where you can add an engraving and it will show you what you type in, etc.

note though, the engraving is for text only, not pics, so to that, the U2 iPod is a bit different than any other engraved iPods due to the band's sigs on the rear.

I won an iPod nano last Wednesday from a radio station The classic rock station for New York, Q1043, has this contect called "lunch licks" and the prize was a new ipod nano. Basically, they play a 1-2 second clip from a song at 11:50 am and you have to guess what song it is. I stayed in my truck to hear the lick because I really wanted to win a nano and I immediately knew the song. I ran to the computer lab and submitted my entry. I didn't hear the DJ announced my name but I received a phone call a few days later to verify that the address I provided is the correct address to ship the nano too. I received it today and this is one amazing device! I still can't believe how small it is. It makes my iPod mini look gigantic.

Oh, and the winning song was "No One to Run With" by The Allman Brothers. :

interesting! didn't know white was more rare. almost sounds like record collecting where the black wax isn't as special as the colored, in this case, the white Nano.

i think i'd still prefer the black as it's more 'grimm' and has more 'kvlt like status' hahahaha.
