iPod, XM and Sirius - Possible?

I e-mailed Coastaletech weeks ago and never heard back so I figured I would post the question here.. I have a 2005 limited w/Nav and I want to run my XM, Sirius and iPod through the factory HU. If I am reading everything correctly I should be able to run and operate either my XM unit or iPod directly through the factory nav system. I dont think its possible to run and operate all 3 through my nav. Right?? But then I saw this link Aux w/ XM which looks like you can run XM and another unit through the factory nav. And if this is the case would I be able to daisy chain another aux adapter and run all 3 through my nav? Does this make sense? I really want all 3 units operational and have it look as stock as possible. I have gone to 2 different high end car audio centers in my area and the dealership and nobody has a clue how to get to where I want to me.

Also if this is not at all feasible and I have to chose 1 unit to run through the Nav what do you suggest I go with? The iPod through the nav or a satellite provider?

I have a 2005 Limited with Nav and I purchased the Toyota XM kit for Solara and installed it into my Nav. The XM kit works perfectly. The AM button functions just as it would on the Navs with AM-SAT. I also am installing the VAIS AIC 100i iPod interface to my Nav that will enable me to use the touch screen and steering wheel to operate the iPod. It also charges the iPod. The AIC 100i also has an extra audio port where I guess you could plug in a Sirius unit. But you wouldn't be able to control it with the steering wheel.
Here are the links:

Looks like Vais changed the name to SoundLinQ :

Hope this helps...

Pete - Thanks for the reply. After reading your post I called Vais and spoke with someone over there. They told me they are comming out with a new unit in mid December (probably not till January) that will allow you to run XM and the iPod through your factory Nav system. Its called the "Unit of The Year" and this unit will NOT have an extra audio in, so im still SOL with Sirius. So I think I will just have Sirius installed now using the FM transmitter and then when that unit is available next year buy that so I can run the iPod and XM through the nav system.

Thanks again for the info!

Hey IR - I am tired of waiting for Vais to release the new product! Are you currently running your XM and iPod through your factorys nav? If so how is everything running?

Thanks,

Brian

Brian,
I'm currently running XM through my Nav by using the Toyota XM kit for a Solaris. I tried the Vias but I guess I'm the unlucky one. The first one they sent would only play sound out of one side so I sent it back. They returned it a few weeks later and said that there was a bad solder that they fixed. I installed it for a second time and this time the sound was muffled so I sent it back and asked for my money back.

I've been using the XM for over 6 months now and love it. Even though my Nav doesn't have the AM/SAT button it works just the same.

Pete - Thanks for the reply, thats great to hear.. Are you using the VAIS AIC 100i iPod interface with the Solara XM Kit? If so are you able to control both your iPod and XM through the factory NAV HU?

Brian,
I'm not currently using my iPod. I sent the vias back. The Solara XM kit plugs directly into the rear of the Nav and doesn't require any other adapters
