I just changed my timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler pully's 186880 Miles. the timing belt had no cracks at all,,,,,,,,
Is 272k too long to replace my timing belt?

Belt looks the way it does because the water pump idler roller siezed.

Ahhh, that makes sense. As I said above, it's usually something else that kills them, not spontaneous failure.

255,000 miles. Lots of cracks.Broke the crank bolt free and that's as far as I got today.
Help me out, that's coolant that you can see under the water pump in the last three photos, right? Also, if I am this far into it anyway, is it recommended to also change the cam seals if I have new ones that came with my TB kit? Is there anyway to tell if they are leaking without pulling the cam pulleys? It looks mostly dry to me above the water pump. I really don't want to pull the cam pulleys if I don't have to. Thanks.
Edit: If it matters, I am doing valve covers at the same time. Guess that makes doing the seals easier, but still wondering if they're necessary.
