Is anyone running ICON UCAs w/ ICON RR COs??

I ask because I just installed my UCAs and they're hitting the hard line to the reservoir... I tried to orient the coilover how ICON shows in the instructions, but in order for the holes on the top of the coilover to line up, the hard line hits the coil bucket.

I'm not seething with rage. My 4Runner is, however, sitting halfway inside/outside of my garage so I have to get this done tonight.

Well, still at it.

I swapped coilovers to see if that worked, and it seemed to get closer, but still hits at about the last 1/2" of travel.

I accepted defeat. It seems that the only way to make the UCA clear the rigid fitting for the reservoir will be to have the fitting rotated a little bit. Who knows when I'll have time for that.

Bummer man. Can you put it back together at all? I went with camburg arms so no help to ya on fitment.

By compressing the coilover enough to install it while the suspension was at about ride height I was able to get it all buttoned up. It only hits at the last .25-.5 inches of down travel.

It already scratched the powercoat off, so whatever. The damage has been done.

It just blows my mind that with the Light Racing arms I had over an inch of clearance, but with these (you know, the ones made for this specific application) I don't.

Here is a pic of the orientation of my lines with my light racing UCA's

Yea, I'd be on the phone with them to find a resolution. That's a lot of coin to already be scratched from contact.

Does it maybe have something to do with these UCAs being originally designed and marketed towards 1st gen Tacos? I doubt so, but it was just a thought. Even if so it shouldn't be happening since they are listed under the 3rd gen on Icon's website. They should be compatible...

Right ... I was thinking you might be stuck with immovable truck.

I'd be furious. This kind of S you wouldnt expect buying higher end equip. For me, its my rear ICON shock leaking after <1 year. To do it again, I would have picked a different brand.

i have this combo and don't have any rubbing...weird

are your resis gong to the front or back?

Front. Using the ICON reservoir mounts. I got the other side done this evening and it's rubbing, but not hitting like the passenger side.

I just looked at a picture of your fitting for the reservoir hose is totally different than mine. Mine is like masson74's posted above.

This is how mine is... I had to put swap the coilovers passenger to driver, and rotate them as such. Like this they hit just at the end of the droop cycle. As masson74 has his (how mine were) they would hit at ride height.

Yeah, yours is different than any I have seen. I posted a picture of mine in an edit to the post above.

Here's the picture from the instructions...

As you can see theirs is even different than the 2 posted in this thread. It just drops straight down.

And looking at Brilliant's build his are yet ANOTHER different setup. It makes no sense.

A.Wilson013 What if you flipped the hats over and swapped coil overs left to right. That would move the reservoir tube.

I did this when installing mine to get more clearance.

I had this thought as well, and tried to do it. However, without a vice I quickly became irritated and gave up. Couldn't get the bolt to break.
