Wow they are cheap... But also not an authorized dealer. You may be getting a refurbished item just FYI.

Thats a nice system you have by the way!! I'm going to be running JL as well. I already ordered a JL12" W1 and I am ordering a JL 250/1 amp. Its a modest system ,but should suite me just fine.
A few years back I had a JL 15"w3 in a ported box with a 1000/1 amp. That thing was insane!!!! WAy nore bass then ever needed.

Thanks! I've always had JL! Sure its more expensive than other companies but I can't complain at all about the quality! The 250/1 will push 2 W1s if you've got the money to get another one or are planning on upgrading. Otherwise I'd probably save some cash and get the G2250. Another option would be to get a 300/4 and bridge the back channels to power the sub and use 1+2 on your front doors.
The other thing I would do is check with Pioneer. There is a reason Crutchfield, who is actually one of the few legitimate online dealers, is a higher priced online shop. Companies like Pioneer, Kenwood, JL and others who allow their stuff to be sold online set a MAP = Minimum Advertised Price. Sometimes MAP is retail but for others it isn't. A good way to tell if someone is legit or not is seeing if they advertise pretty close to what everyone else is or if they are waaaaay cheaper. When they are a lot cheaper, thats pretty much a dead giveaway that they are selling Refurbished or B-stock products. I'd also hate to see what happened in the event of a warranty. I'm sure they will butter you up and make you think everything is clean and perfect... I'd just beware.

eh I wouldn't trust eBay either. Personally I'd shop around online and find some prices that are lower and then go to a local shop and see what they can do for you. In this economy, they'll work with you especially this time of year. You aren't going to save huge amounts on a $500 radio... maybe $40, but shops can easily hook you up on kits + harnesses and everything is legitimate!

That is a super low price bgmac. They aren't even that cheap on Ebay.

I have had one for a few months now. Its a good unit, easy to use and sounds great. The interface is a little dated looking and the buttons could be a bit bigger but other than that, Its been a good unit.

So my 12" W1 arrived. Sealed enclosure arrives tommorow and the 250/1 arrives Tuesday. I'm going to end up giving my girl the W1 though and im going to run a 12" W3 instead since I have the power to do so. Have to wait about 2 more weeks for the Pioneer head unit though {its going to be a b-day present from my brother}. I'll let you know when everything is here and when I plan on installing. I'll take pics. I plan on relocating the tire jack and acc. and mounting the amp there. It looks like im going to have to break out the dremmel to remove the brackets though. Has anyone else mounted their amp there?

Good decision in picking the W3 over the W1. Did you just buy a prefab sealed box?

Well, I didn't end up getting the Pioneer P4000 for my birthday.
Instead I got a Kenwood DNX5120!! This unit is pretty bad ass! Has navagation as well. Then my fiance got me a Python Keyless entry/remote start! Everything should be installed by the end of the week. The only thing im not sure about yet is whether or not i should run 2 JL 12W1 or just one 12W3. I already have an extra 12"box that I could put another 12W1 in or I could sell the 12W1 & boxI have now and then buy a W3 to put in the other box. I dont know what to do. What do you guys think?
