Is it possible that my wheels got misaligned after a tire rotation.

I had my tire rotation as part of the 120k at a Toyota dealership 3 weeks ago. I noticed a misalignment after driving out from their shop.

Afte a week, I came back to raise my concern and they "did" another check and they said that the 120k process didn't do anything about the misalignment.

I then had my wheels alignment done on their shop. They gave me a report that shows that it is really misaligned. After performing the alignment, they showed me a report stating that my alignment is now up to specs.

I drove out of the shop and I am still noticing a slight pull to right when I try to straighten my steering wheel. I came back after a week to report and complain about it. I waited for a week because I was busy at work.

The service advisor told me that it maybe due to my tires were not level prior the 120k tire-rotation. They did a check again and the alignment are up to manufacturer specs.

I am planning to go to another tire-alignment shop to have it checked and get another opinion. Could it really be the tires?

Yes, the tires could be and probably are responsible for the pull you're feeling.

If the tires have uneven wear from the misalignment it could be the tires.

Improperly wearing and/or defective tires can cause strange pulling issues...I suggest you cross rotate all 4 tires and see if the pulling changes. If it's still the same exact pull you are experiencing, it is possible that the alignment shops equipment is giving you false readings if it's not cared for properly...

If all else fails, I would actually do as you suggested and go to an independent alignment shop and see what they come up with. If it does end up being the alignment I would bring the original dealership the bill and tell em to eat it, lol.

Typically, pulling to one side or the other is a sign of uneven tire wear which is most likely what happened after the tires were rotated. An improper alignment generally wont cause the vehicle to pull to one side or the other.
