Is it safe to spray down transmission valve body with brake cleaner?

About to finish swapping solenoids today and want to clean the valve body off before reinstalling the pan. I don't want to wipe it down and get fibers all over it. Wondering if I can use some CRC (red can) brake cleaner and spray it down first to get any crap off?

I would say no because of the wire coating because rubber sometimes react to break cleaner differently ...

Hell yes you can, go crazy and spray like 2 cans in there. Lube it up with wd-40 when you are done.
