Found a 1999 Black Highlander. 140,000 miles. Says it has great condition, no problems, and mechanically sound. $9,700....asking. Obviously im going to talk him down. Still a good enough car to get me through college ?????(six more years).
Pretty much, its an SR5 with a hood scoop, i little taller coils (not really enough to notice without looking hard), and small black fender flares. The front fender is the same color as the body.
The 1999 Highlander package was the "sport" package for the 4Runner -- not to be confused with those little Toyota Highlanders that we see clogging the roadways today!
I did think it was cheesy for them to rename another vehicle as a Highlander but it was just a sub model of the Runner anyway and I do like the Sport badges that came on the '02s.
