Just got a 5x5 sheet of .25 , 6061 alum. For free, question is , is it thick enough to make a skid and if not what should I make with it
well if you caN weld aluminum go for it. Its too touchy for me to weld
Stand it upright on the roof and having the .25 parralel with the driveshaft, and sell the space on the sides as advertising, Warning it may be a rather unstable ride, but it will help pay for real skid plates.
I think you took back first place in NelsonMD's contest "Unintentionally Suggestive Post Of The Month" :boink:
well ya know its not like if you do make a plate its going to hurt anything. might as well if you can
i was wondering how thick your buds are ....

Don't know how expensive the BudBuilt skids are, but that plate of aluminum is worth at least $400. You could probably sell the aluminum and buy steel (or Bud's) and have a little cash left over.
And the title of your thread sounds like the name of a chapter in Hugh Hefner's autobiography. Next week I'll be posting "Great New Rack on my Princess!" when in reality I'm just talking about the new steering on my 4Runner.
Lol we should have forum wide suggestive title thread day ftw
yeah i thought this was trying to one-up the will it fit thread title from the other day. :vader:
Ahh, I see. Bad*ss skids then and maybe use the scraps for pumpkin armor, rear control arm armor, door sill plates...
Yeah that all sounds great , I don't got the greatest skills but I can do some easy simple stuff , so we will see diff armour maybe a bit much , it would come out like crap , lol , I'll be lucky to get four flat beads done haha gas tank skid is what I'm thinking

Not gonna lie, it was intentional , but not trying to one up anyone or anything , lol
