Is it time for brake service?

What's up T4R fam, today i was driving to work enjoying my 4runner ride on the way i feel the truck wasn't pulling like it usually does and when i got to work got out of the truck and i could smell my brakes i try touching the front wheels and rotors they felt at normal temp and the rear drums were scorching, what does that mean? What probably needs to be done?

And also i'm thinking about doing the TBU but don't have the funds yet is it recommended to do the rear than the front are do it all at once?
Please help i try to get parts my self because after reading some threads on here i couldn't dare use other than OEM parts on a 4runner (lol) and also i'm trying to keep cost in line. Thanks in advance!

Stuck e-brake, either the cable or the bell-cranks. For now you can hit them back into place with a hammer (pound on them until the adjustment screw bottoms out on the backing plate, both sides), but you'll need to either take them apart and clean them or replace them. Rock auto sells the kit at a reasonable price.

ETA: hit the screw indicated by the red arrow until it is up against the backing plate. Then don't use the parking brake again until you get a chance to take it apart and either de-crud it or replace it if necessary.

I would also recommend pulling your drums to see if the rear shoes are swelling from a rear axle seal leak. Catch it early and save yourself some headache.
