Is it worth changing to a new tire?

Hey all.....I need 4 new tires and have been running Bridgestone Deuler HT's 265/65/17. These are the stock tires that came on my 04. I replaced all 4 once (nails in sidewalls) 2 years ago and really like these tires. I've never had a problem w/ traction, grip, ect.. But, it's time for new shoes and I'm thinking about the BFG KO AT's 265/70/17. I've read some posts on here that after about 10K-15K they tend to become a not so great tire. I know that tires will lose tread, but I've never had a problem w/ the Duelers after 45K miles. I like the look of the BFG's, but do mostly on-road driving (60 miles hwy per day), but try to play off road when & where ever possible (not a lot of places in NOVA). Will the BFG's last, and what is the quality / durabitlity of them. Also planning to do possibly a 2/1 lift soon. I ask because it's an expesive chance to take.

I have bfg's and I love them. They will last a very long time and are generally a stronger tire than other all terrain tires. The biggest downside is their cost. Roughly $900. A good alternative if you don't like the price is the Toyo Open Country AT or the Nitto Terra Grappler. Don't use Revo's they are a passenger car tire, and even though they say the tire is strong enough for an SUV, I doubt it since it is a P rated tire, and I would hate to see the result of a long trip with those and a fully loaded up to capacity 4Runner.
