so i got a 95 4runner basicly free its somewhat driveable, its been sitting since april so it hesitates to drive a little bit but anyways its needs a brand new muffler and tailpipe new brakes and rotors but the down side its that i have to bring it in a shop so labor is going to kill my pocket, i love the vehicle but it needs work. so just let me know what you guys think .

oh yeah this guy who is letting me borrow the vehicle is has wiskey plates anbd he cant drive anymore so thats why im asking if its worth it cuz he cant sell the vehicle

I'm confused...

How well do you know this guy? It sounds like someone is letting you borrow a beat up truck and said that you are more than welcome to fix it up while you're borrowing it.

I don't know that I would fix up a car I didn't pay anything for if it didn't actually belong to me.

Doesn't sound like too many major problems though.

EDIT: I didn't know what whiskey plates were until just a second ago... but even though he can't drive.. he can still own a vehicle. It's his property whether he can use it or not.

I'm not sure how well you know him, but if he has these "whiskey plates", he got them by breaking the law. Why can't he sell it to you?

Am I missing something?

alright heres the deal, the guy is my moms boyfriend and he can never get his license back ever again so he is letting me use it cuz i dont have a vehicle anymore, so what he did is that he fixed everything that was wrong with it, i love the vehicle, i love the sunroof and the sliding rear window and the tailgate so i can sit on it when i put my snowboard boots on, this is a great vehicle and im impress with it,

btw does anyone know what the size of the gas tank is? just curious cuz i put 10 bucks in and it almost gave me a half a tank at $2.71 from Empty. its a 95 3.0 ltr 4wh dr. SR5

thanks
