Is it worth it ?

Please forgive me to being new to the Toyota way but I have wanted a 4runner for a very long time and I finally found one It's a 95 sr5 v6 that has been well cared for The problem with it is as soon as it gets warm it shoots water out of the head gasket and also it will not move. The current owner says it is the torque converter He is only asking 1000. The body is perfect. No rust. It's red in color. The interior is very good condition also. It will start and run but when it warms up it sprays water out from the head gasket. My question is Is it worth 1000 and how hard is it to fix these two problems.
Thank your for your time It has 200,000 miles and always been garaged

Head gasket failure is very common on 2nd gens with the 3.0 V6, there's probably nothing wrong with the torque convertor. For $1000 that sounds like a decent deal for what should be an easy fix, though I'm no expert on 2nd gens so hopefully someone else will pitch in.
