Is pollen destroying your rig?

I dont know if its just in my area, but it seems this year pollen is just out of control. No car stays clean for more then a day, it immediately gets covered in a soft, green fuzz. I came home this morning and noticed all the cars in my parking lot were literally just covered in green. I have seen some news reports also that say its worse this year so far then usual.

I recently had my rig detailed, but even the interior has pollen all over the dash and vents since I like to keep fresh air coming through the vents alot of the time instead of recirculate.

Are you guys also getting just covered in the stuff this year or am I just overreacting because Im a city boy now out of the city?

I think 'destroying' might be a little exaggerated, but where are you located? No problems here other than those helicopter seed things from the maple trees, but my garage does a wonderful job of keeping them at bay :D

Well sure, theyre not actually being destroyed, but it seems theyre just always filthy and it makes me want to get my car washed almost every daily. Im in the Philly area.

It's actually not too bad here in North Jersey, yet. And pollen isn't bad at all when you park under a blooming cotton tree and then it rains. That was like having little bits of cotton glued all over your car. I've heard that you have to go in excess of 100 mph before the pollen will "let go". Just throwing that out there in case you get tired of washing your car :lookout:

Yes, here in Texas, the oak trees are coating everything. It seems to have stopped for now. It's just a pain. I used to live in Georgia and that was by far the worst pollen I've experienced. The entire state is composed of trees!

I live in georgia.

Come here for a spring and you will never complain about your pollen again.

The count gets over 5,000. This spring has been one of the worse lately too.

Don't really have that issue here in Montana. But heaps of dust and soon bugs. It's amazing how much crap a good wax will keep off your car.

Ky has some of the worst allergy/pollen numbers in the country. And yes it's freakin bad this year.
The stuff doesn't bother me too much cause I work in a dusty environment and keep a layer in my truck at all times.
