IS there a known issue/fix for a squeeking cargo cover?

Well our dealer is 100% useless. I wanna slap them everytime they tell me they can't duplicate the issue yet it happens to me constantly. This is the case with an ongoing hesitant starting issue as well as a couple of squeaks/rattles.

The worst though I think is coming from our cargo cover (the thing that spans from side to side and can be pulled out or retracted back in to cover the contents of the back cargo area)

It squeaks sharply over rough parts of the road and groans loudly whenever I'm turning into something with an incline like a ramp or driveway or entrance to a shopping center or anything like that where a turn and a slight incline are involved.

So please tell me I don't have to waste a whole additional Saturday just to hear my dealer say they couldn't duplicate the problem or determine the source and basically say 'sucks for you that we suck at doing our job'... if I can fix it myself with some specific kind of grease applied in a specific manner to a specific location, I'll do it - I just need to know what to use and where to put it.

Try putting a piece of felt or cloth between the end cap and the indentation where it sits on the sidewalls. Chances are it's caused by rubbing or bumping there. If that fixes the problem, then you can think about a more permanent, better-looking solution.

And the next time you go to the dealer, insist on taking them for a test ride to show them the problem.

I would assume you have removed the cargo cover and tried to reproduce the sound - just to make sure this isn't the infamous rear seat latch squeak. If not, maybe there's your answer.

Yea that's what I was thinking also! Little bit of electrical tape cleared up my squeak.
