I am looking for an amp that will produce 1000-1300 watts at 8 ohms.


I can't find an amp that will produce this much power.


I have a stupid project that I am trying to take on with some old PA speakers.

I have a single 15" sub cab that is rated at 500w RMS, 1000w Program and 2000w Peak at 8 ohms; suggested wattage is 900-1300. This sub has an average of 127 dB continous and 131 db at Peak. The sub cab fits perfectly in the back, uses up about half of the cargo area.

I have a home amp that will bridge at 1,000 watts into 8 ohms "Bryston 4B" but I don't know of any car amps that will do it.

I have a few amp that from my PA system that produce 1300 watts at 8 ohms.. I am getting one that wil be procuding 2400 watts at 8 ohms (3700watt @ 4 ohms).

Is there a power converter that will produce 12-15amps @ 120 volts?

Yes. Xantrex XM1000 ... I just put one in a big cruiser yacht and it works like a champ. You can pick one up at a West Marine for about $250.
