Is there no Hood mount Hi Lift jack for 3rd gens?

Ive searched google image + this and yotatech forums + every 4x4 google search. anyone know a fabricator or company that sells this? I do not have an aftermarket bumper and tired of it just sitting in the cargo area taking up space.

Just looking to have the lift out of the way on the hood. Jeeps have it and i have seen it on other generation 4runners, im assuming it was custom do to lack on findings online.

Why not put it up on the roof? Our hoods are pretty flimsy I personally wouldn't trust a 60lb hi lift to stay on there in the event of an accident or something.

I think most mount it on the [aftermarket heavy duty] bumper. Or roof rack.

I have never heard of one for a 4runner. That's a lot of weight for a 4runner hood.

Though, seriously, I was planning on either the hood, or perhaps on the front bumper when I make one.

IMO it's a terrible idea to mount a hi lift jack on the front of your vehicle. I wouldn't want that thing shooting into your windshield in the case of an accident. It's just asking for trouble.

If you have to have it in the hood a mount for it is about the easiest thing in the world to make.
But I suggest to try to first
Lay the high lift on a blanket on your hood.
Than go to the cab and pull the hood release and report back what happened

How I mounted mine on the bumper of my Trekker, it was about $25 to make

But, please, don't mount it on your hood.

Ya, a hood mount seems kinda sketchy. Besides the hood being kinda flimsy for a jack I think they don't make a hood mount because there is more room either in the truck, rear bumper or rack.
