Is there such a thing?

Wondering what the options are for an AT or MT tire that is "low noise". I'd love the quiet of an LT with a more aggressive stance/traction.

I'm thinking this is likely a great white buffalo, but thought I'd ask the hive mind and make sure I'm not missing an option.

Monday bump. Is the trade off high traction (off road) for higher noise and rolling resistance (mileage hit) or quiet on the highway better mileage and less aggressive in snow/mud/off-road?

There are several low noise ATs...

Personally had Toyo ATII (p-Metric) and BFG KO2 (LT E) tires and they are both amazingly quiet on the highway, and both do great offroad.

MTs are another story :D

I've got Coop S/T Maxx's in 255/85R16. Very quiet on road. Can hear them at speed in turns, that's about it though. Obviously there is a slight sound, but it isn't a low-pitched drone type sound at all. It is higher pitched, and much quieter than other aggressive tread tires I've heard. Semi-aggressive tread, right between A/T and M/T. Have done well off road so far. Sidewall deflection is good considering I haven't aired down off road at all yet. tread depth is 18mm which is decent. Has decent siping, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to test on-road snowy conditions yet as my job has me in Mississippi this year.

Overall I like the tires. I have put 12,000 miles on them and they are doing well. Enjoy off road and on road.
