Not a stranger to the search tool, but not having lots of luck. A link or model name/number would be really helpful. Here's my wish list:

Double Din. In dash head unit that will...
Use steering wheel controls and existing BT mic and camera. Have USB input/charging. BT music play and CID from the phone when receiving incoming calls. Be able to take the feed from the existing camera as I don't want to run new wiring from the back.

Thoughts?

There's no plug and play solution, but it can be done.

You will have to remove the reverse camera and Bluetooth microphone signal wires from the factory harness and solder on the appropriate plugs (a 3.5mm mono phone plug and a male RCA plug in most cases)

You will also need to install a steering wheel interface to translate the stock resistance values to the new unit's configuration.

If you have BT and reverse camera, chances are you have JBL. You will need another interface to enable the new radio to properly communicate with the factory amplifier.

Basically it will be a lot of work, and a lot of hacking up the factory harnesses. What are you trying to accomplish here? add USB?

These are about as close to stock as you will find, but they will need some tinkering to get everything to work with your existing wiring. Especially if you have JBL

I added this to my factory Nav. I don't use the Bluetooth portion for hands free calls but I do use it for streaming music. While playing Pandora over Bluetooth for example, I can skip to the next track using the steering wheel buttons.

It will also connect to a phone, iPod or flash drive via USB. I have a 32gb flash drive loaded with MP3 audio files. Track information is shown on the radio display.

It also has auxiliary input which I left disconnected due to my factory aux.

This is as close as I can get to aftermarket radio functionality while maintaining a completely stock look.

Plugged into the factory aux input, this allows you to use AirPlay (or whatever the android equivalent is) over wifi for wireless audio streaming that is far superior to Bluetooth audio streaming as far as sound quality goes.

I just installed the I-Simple from PacAudio....to finally add Sirius to my in-Dash and ditch the extra wires and external plug and play Sirius unit...Works great, wish I would have made the additional investment to add the USB and maybe the Bluetooth.

and dont fear, getting to the stock unit is much easier than forums may have you believe, just make sure you get those hidden bolts behind the drivers side kick panel

Here's what has me confused: isn't there a newer Toyota radio that has the features we want and would mostly be a drop in replacement?

What year is yours? And does it have JBL, navigation or rear seat entertainment? People are swapping base model radios with newer ones out of scions, but there aren't many other options for newer stock units as most have integrated hvac, integrated dash components or are built on a larger chassis than our stock double din units.

2007 JBL with nav and 4disk. No rear seat anything. Primitive Bluetooth for calls only.

Yep same dated stock radio that I have. Check out the 2014-15 scion FRS factory navigation. You'll need some extra parts to get it working but it will work.
