Is there such thing as Tacoma BLUE/YELLOW (TRD) springs and will they fit 3rd Gen?

Hello everyone, new to the site, and 4Runner's. I have a 1996 RWD, 4cyl, 5-speed, stripper model (manual everything) that I'm trying to raise a bit to toss some 31's on it (just for optics, I know its counter intuitive on 2x4 models). Curretnly the car has 15" alloys with 235/75/15 tires that are shot.

So instead of doing spacer kit I do want to get proper shocks and springs for it, but I'm on a limited budget since this is more of a beater car then a full blown project.

I found these front spring/strut combo on CL, seller claims its off an 02 Tacoma but isn't 100% sure. Judging by the pics, is this of a taco or a tundra? (I cant find anything about TRD blue/yellow springs for Tacoma, everything in search comes up with Tundra springs)

Finally, if they are Tacoma TRD springs, or Tundra TRD springs for that matter, what kind of lift am I looking at for a base 96 RWD 4Runner? would it be 2" at least?

Those are from a TRD Tundra. Its what im running, minus a top platespacer. They' ll net you close to 2"...more than enough for a 31". You could even go 32" without a problem, which is what I would do.

Not being exactly scientific here, but I have the same exact model as you only a 97, from what I've seen compared to other 3rd gen's I'm about 2" Lower than a plain 4WD. So those could net you 4" of lift if your runner sits the same as mine.

Millerad1651 thanks for the advice on the 32's, I went for it Just picked up a set of BFG T/A KO's (32x11.5x15) and ordered a set of Wheel Vintiques 15x10 "smoothie" steel wheels with chrome dog bowl hub caps. Gonna paint them black like the car. Going for the 5-oh police look

UnderFire, I think you might be right, the car right now has that rake look where the rear sits much higher than the front (could be because someone stole the spare tire, haha), but we'll see tomorrow when I swap out for the bilstein/turndra combo. If it really does raise it 4" then I'm gonna have to look for a Bilstein 5100/OME combo, unless someone suggests otherwise.

I've been searching like mad for landcruiser coils but there impossible to find, and I'm impatient :-D

I installed 00 tacoma 4x4 front struts in my 4runner without any modification. You will be amazed by the ride quality. Notice the spring turnings are very close at the top compared to the bottom of the spring. This significantly improves the ride quality.

UnderFire, you were totally right, it raised it like 6" (ok, I'm probably exaggerating), or maybe like 4.5" at least. It looks like a prerunner trucks right now, I can barely see over the hood, lol.

I'm picking up some 97 LC 8 wrap coils for the rear tonight that are usually good for 4.5" of lift. Should level it out nice (I hope).

Sprayed the steelies last night, body color, now just waiting for the clear to harden before I mount the 32s on it, most probably tomorrow, and I'll install the LC coils if I can get out of work early. Seeing how much the front is raised, I kind of regret not going with 33's at least, but I guess the 32s will be a bit easier to drive around town, which being RWD will be its main duty...

Nice to finally confirm my suspicion. I want to see a picture lol you've got some "bro lean" now. How is the ride with only the weight of a 4 3rz on the front?

Are you changing the rear shocks too? You will run out of travel with those 8 wraps.
